Iceland - Day Four, Snæfellsnes Peninsula Tour

In Fall 2019, I had the trip of a lifetime: a solo excursion to Iceland! This country is a photographer’s playground. Street photography. Architectural photography. Nature and landscape photography. Over the next few weeks I will be sharing some of my favourite photos from my trip here.

Day four of my trip was one of the longest days of the trip. Before the sun was even rising I was picked up from my hostel for a tour of Snæfellsnes Peninsula (say that five times fast!). Snæfellsnes is often referred to as a mini Iceland. It has it all! Black sand beaches, lava caves, waterfalls, and mountains. I went caving at Vatnshellir Cave (did you know sheep find the most caves in Iceland? They have a terrible habit of falling in), and saw the famous Kirkjufell Mountain. We even went through Ólafsvík, famous for being in the movie The Secret Life of Walter Mitty!
